BRUNWICK – The Maine State Music Theatre  kicks off the 2015 season with the heartwarming upbeat comedy “The full Monty.” This 10-time Tony Award-nominee is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and a raucous mix of razor-sharp humor and toe-tapping pizzazz, not to mention the most highly anticipated closing number in Broadway history!

“The Full Monty” runs June 3 through June 20.

“Funny and original songs, rich characters, and an accessible story – this show is all about heart,”  MSMT’s Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark said.

A group of unemployed steelworkers need to make some quick cash any way they can. They overcome fear, self-consciousness, anxiety and feelings of worthlessness to become the most unlikely group of exotic dancers.

This high-energy comedy with a book by Terrence McNally and music and lyrics by David Yazbek, stars Peter Matthew Smith as Jerry Lukowski, Austin Nedrow as Nathan Lukowski, Amanda Rose as Pam Lukowski, Jayson Elliott (last year’s Big Bopper in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story) as Dave Bukatinsky, MSMT favorite Charis Leos (reprising her 2006 MSMT role) as Georgie Bukatinsky, Jonathan Rayson as Harold Nichols, Chuck Ragsdale (also reprising his MSMT 2006 role) as Malcolm Macgregor, Kingsley Leggs as Noah “Horse” T. Simmons and Sandy Rosenberg as Jeanette Burmeister.
