NORWAY — Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services is reporting a successful third annual Teal Ribbon Walk/Run 5K of Oxford County. The event had more than double the amount of walkers and runners than last year.

Alex Johnson took first place for men with a time of 20:38. Harmony Locke took first place for women with a time of 25:39.

The organization would like to thank Norway Savings Bank for its generous sponsorship of the 5K for the third year in a row. Many local businesses donated items in support as well: New Balance, Subway, Maurice’s, Applebee’s, JenniCakes, Reny’s, Walmart, Hannaford, Agren and the South Paris Masonic Lodge. They would also like to thank Paris Police Department and PACE for donating their time to keep participants safe.

All funds raised will be used by SAPARS to provide free and confidential services to those who seek it. SAPARS also operates a 24-hour helpline.
