1947 – 2015

AUBURN — Floyd B. Hamilton, 67, of Hanover, died Saturday, May 23, at the Hospice House in Auburn with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Conway, N.H., on August 2, 1947, the son of Walter and Leah (Legere) Hamilton, and attended Fryeburg Academy.

He was a woodsman all his life.

Floyd was married Oct. 26, 1968, to Evelyn May Thurston of Hanover, who survives him. Other survivors include a son, Staff Sgt. Bruce Hamilton, National Guard, and wife, Patricia, of Berlin, N.H.; a daughter, Jennifer Wheeler and husband, Shawn, of Hanover; six grandchildren, Darlene Youngblood and husband, Michael, of Gorham, N.H., Devon, Keith and Haley Hamilton of Berlin, N.H., Alexis and Robert Brunney III of Ft. Irwin, Calif.; a brother, Lawrence Hamilton and wife, Marie, of Fryeburg; sisters, Sophie Fortier and husband, Thomas, of Berlin, N.H., and Nancy Lefebvre and husband, Norman, of Berlin, N.H.

He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
