Center planning crafting sessions

LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women will hold a Mason jar decorating activity on Tuesday, June 2, and a wood craft on Tuesday, June 9, both at 10 a.m. A session to make coasters will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23.

From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Mondays women may bring their own hand sewing project to the center at 97 Blake St.

SeniorsPlus to visit Wilton

WILTON — SeniorsPlus will be at the Wilton Free Public Library from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 3.

Representatives will answer any questions or concerns residents may have about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families. The event is free and open to the public.

FARMINGTON — SeniorsPlus will holding a Caregiver Support Group at the Farmington Town Office from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 3.

The event will give caregivers a chance to connect with others, share experiences and gain information and support. Pre-registstration is not required.

Society to hear history of church

GREENWOOD — The Greenwood Historical Society will hold a monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at the Locke Mills Union Church. A program on the history of the church will be presented by Beverly Melville.

SALEM TOWNSHIP — Mount Abram High School will host the Senior recognition night at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 4, in the gymnasium.

Awards will be presented to students in the senior class and recognitions will be made.

Annual meeting of the Friends of Norway Memorial Library set for June 4

NORWAY — The Friends of Norway Memorial Library will hold their annual meeting from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 4.

The purpose of the meeting will be to vote on revisions to the association bylaws.

Maine Canoe Symposium to be held in Bridgton

BRIDGTON — The Maine Canoe Symposium will take place Friday, June 5, to Sunday, June 7, at Camp WINONA.

The weekend will be devoted to canoes, paddling, poling, camping and adventure. Volunteer staff include world class adventurers and guides, who will be teaching on water and on land workshops.

Book sale, breakfast at Williams House

WAYNE — A book sale and boutique breakfast will be held at the Cary Library’s Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, June 6 and July 4.

There will be used books, movies and children’s books and coffee or tea, quiche and scones. All proceeds benefit the Wayne Library Association.

Church to host supper, hymn sing

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner invites the public to the community supper and hymn sing at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

The meal will include barbecue pulled pork, summer salads and dessert, followed by the monthly raffle. Donations will be accepted for the meal.

All proceeds benefit the outreach of the church, located at 50 Main St.
