Center planning crafting sessions

LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women will hold a Mason jar decorating activity on Tuesday, June 2, and a wood craft on Tuesday, June 9, both at 10 a.m. A session to make coasters will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23.

From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Mondays women may bring their own hand sewing project to the center at 97 Blake St.

Maine Canoe Symposium to be held in Bridgton

BRIDGTON — The Maine Canoe Symposium will take place Friday, June 5, to Sunday, June 7, at Camp WINONA.

The weekend will be devoted to canoes, paddling, poling, camping and adventure. Volunteer staff include world class adventurers and guides, who will be teaching on water and on land workshops.

Book sale, breakfast at Williams House

WAYNE — A book sale and boutique breakfast will be held at the Cary Library’s Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, June 6 and July 4.

There will be used books, movies and children’s books and coffee or tea, quiche and scones. All proceeds benefit the Wayne Library Association.

Church to host supper, hymn sing

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner invites the public to the community supper and hymn sing at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

The meal will include barbecue pulled pork, summer salads and dessert, followed by the monthly raffle. Donations will be accepted for the meal.
