Buckfield 14, Valley 2

BINGHAM — Amber Arsenault struck out six, walked none and added two hits at the plate Saturday, boosting Buckfield to a 14-2 EWC softball win over Valley.

Ashley Campbell ripped two triples and a single for the Bucks (9-6). Abby Fogg also had three hits.

Arsenault scattered five hits over the five-inning route. She shut out the Cavaliers after the first frame.

Girls’ lacrosse

Gardiner 10, Oxford Hills 8

PARIS — Junior midfielder Maddie Beaulieu nailed the final two goals to lift Gardiner to a 10-8 victory over Oxford Hills in KVAC girls’ lacrosse action Saturday afternoon.

Bryce Smith and Hayley Lovely posted three goals each for the Tigers (6-6), who were tied 8-8 with just one an a half minutes remaining in regulation.

Senior attackman Katie Bowie led the Vikings (2-9) with three goals.
