RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernard Pellerin was celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, June 1, at the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford, with the Rev. Greg Dube as the celebrant. He was assisted by Seminarian Matthew Gregory and altar assistant, Bernard Poirier.
Readings were proclaimed by Jessica Hamann and Tanya McPherson. Presenting gifts to the altar were Jessica Reynolds and Mary-Ann Hamel. Words of remembrance were given by Tanya McPherson. Organist was Mark Belanger.
Musical selections were “Amazing Grace,” “Be Not Afraid,” “Eye Has Not Seen” and “On Eagles’ Wings.” Interment was at St. John Cemetery in Rumford. Military honors were provided by the Maine Military Honors Program of Augusta. Committal prayers were recited by Seminarian Matthew Gregory.
A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was held in the church hall. Arrangements are under the direction of the MEADER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
