BATH — Peter Yarrow, who rose to fame as an integral part of iconic 1960s folk music trio Peter, Paul and Mary will perform at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 13 at the Chocolate Church Arts Center located at 804 Washington St. in Bath. The evening will include Yarrow’s lyric history as he continues to reach a whole new generation with his music and advocacy.

As a successful artist and activist, Peter Yarrow’s talent is legendary. His gift for songwriting has produced some of the most moving songs Peter, Paul & Mary recorded, including “Day Is Done,” “The Great Mandala” and “Light One Candle.”
Yarrow has earned many gold and platinum albums, has been awarded numerous Grammy Awards, and nominated for several more. He co-wrote (with Leonard Lipton) “Puff, the Magic Dragon,” one of Peter, Paul & Mary’s greatest hits.
Yarrow’s musical creativity has always gone hand in hand with his commitment to social justice and equity in society. As part of the famous musical group, he was at the forefront of the folk-protest movement when they sang songs of social justice at the historic March on Washington, D.C.—led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—as well as the Selma-Montgomery March of 1965.
The Yarrow concert concludes the Chocolate Church’s 2014-2015 concert season.
