1955 – 2015
SUMNER — Daniel M. Gessinger, 59, of Sumner, formerly of Bleecker, N.Y., entered into rest Saturday, May 30.
He was born Nov. 5, 1955, the son of Gerald and Audrey Gessinger of Bleecker. Dan attended Wheelerville, N.Y., and Gloversville N.Y., schools.
He was a member of the Bleecker Community Church and proudly volunteered at various soup kitchens at Woodstock Music Festivals.
In addition to his parents, Dan is survived by two brothers, Alan Gessinger of Gloversville and Raymond (Melanie) Gessinger of Fultonville, N.Y. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, Joshua, Seth and Bethany Gessinger of Fultonville, N.Y., and Alan and Renee Gessinger of Arizona. Dan also leaves behind his best friends and neighbors, Rich and Linda Pothier of Maine.
