HARRISON — The town of Harrison Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its 13th annual 5K Run by the Lake at 7 p.m. July 8. The event is to benefit year-round healthy and recreational opportunities.
The cost to register for the race is $13 by July 1; $18 after. Harrison residents receive $3 off the registration fee. The first 100 racers to pre-register will receive a free t-shirt.
The town is also asking local businesses to sponsor the race. Any business interested in having its name printed on the event t-shirt should contact the town. Organizers are also looking for businesses that would like to award the prize to the winner.
Event organizers are collecting prize donations from local businesses for the category winners.
Registration forms can be found at the town office, local stores and libraries. They can also be downloaded from the town website.
