LEWISTON — Planning Board, 5:30 p.m., City Council Chamber on the bottom floor of Lewiston City Hall. Discussion about the city’s comprehensive plan pertaining to culture and history, transportation and mobility and health.

TUESDAY, June 9

AUBURN — Referendum on proposed $39.06 million school budget, an 1.8 percent increase in property taxes; voting Auburn Hall from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

LEWISTON — City Council workshop, 6 p.m., City Council Chamber on the bottom floor of City Hall. Topics include the Lewiston-Auburn Charter Commission, economic development, day care parking and Franklin Company land use.

THURSDAY, June 11

AUBURN — Information meeting hosted by the Maine Department of Transportation to discuss traffic safety improvements on Route 4 and the Lake Shore Drive intersection, 5:30 p.m., Kirk Hall at Central Maine Community College off Turner Street. East Auburn residents and frequent Route 4 users are encouraged to attend.

LEWISTON — Lewiston-Auburn Charter Commission, 6 p.m., Administrative Conference Room, City Hall.

AUBURN — Recreation and Special Events Advisory Board, 6:30 p.m., Community Room, second floor of Auburn Hall. 

Saturday, June 13

AUBURN — Bike-a-palooza bicycle rodeo and safety event for children grades one through six, sponsored by the Dempsey Challenge, 10 a.m. to noon, Norway Savings Bank Arena. Pre-registration is available on the Internet at www.dempseychallenge.org/bike-a-palooza-registration. Participation is limited to the first 75 who register.
