RANGELEY — The Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association has received a $2,000 grant from the Hugh and Elizabeth Montgomery Charitable Fund of the Maine Community Foundation to support the association’s range improvement project.
The grant will help the group provide rifle, pistol and archery ranges to its members and the public that meet best management practices and are handicapped accessible. The additional shooting stations and archery equipment will accommodate larger firearm safety and archery instruction.
RRG&SA is a nonprofit organization established in 1895. The mission is to conserve and protect the outdoor sporting heritage for the enjoyment of sportsmen, sportswomen and future generations.
