SOUTH PARIS — Stanley Eugene Grover, 83, of South Paris, died unexpectedly Monday, June 1, at his home in South Paris.
He was born on June 2, 1931, in Mason Township, a son of Eli and Ella (Garey) Grover. He attended local schools, graduating from Gould Academy in 1949.
Stanley married Mary Louise Aldrich on Feb. 22, 1952.
He was a notoriously hard worker and over the years, he worked numerous jobs that adequately provided for his family, which always came first. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary of South Paris; his children, Marlene, Michael, Pamela, Pauline and Linda; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Perham; and a brother, Richard.
He was predeceased by siblings, Paul, Walter, Verna, Rupert, Howard, Ernest, Ralph and Robert.
