1930 – 2015
LEWISTON — Eugene Elton Wilson, 84, formerly of Auburn and Poland, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 11, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Dixfield on June 22, 1930, the son of John and Agnes Wilson. Eugene married the former Helen Stone in Farmington, on March 15, 1952.
Prior to retirement, he worked for many years at W.S. Libby Co. After his retirement, he worked part time for Temple Shalom and Fairlawn Country Club for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Agnes Wilson and spouse, Nadine Drapeau, and Julie Waite and husband, Jerry; two grandchildren, Robert Merrill II and Kimberly Akers; and seven great-grandchildren, Harlie, Courtnie, Tiffany, Paige, Olivia, Sabrina and Shelby.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife; sister; and granddaughter, Julieann.
The family would like to thank the nursing and CNA staff at Marshwood Center and also the receptionist, Carrie, for all the wonderful care and attention given to Eugene during his stay.
