PERU — The Peru Historical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at the Historical Society Building.

Whitman Memorial Library announces guest speaker

BRYANT POND — Diane York, master gardener, will be the guest speaker at the Whitman Memorial Library at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, in Bryant Pond.

She will present a program about gardening in early New England and will also be promoting a flower contest as part of Woodstock’s Bicentennial Celebration that will take place on Saturday, June 20.

The program is open to the public free of charge. Light refreshments will be served.
