LISBON — Corrine G. Gartley, 88, of Lisbon, died peacefully in her home on June 20, with her children by her side, after a brief illness.

Corrine was born on Feb. 15, 1927, in Lisbon, where she lived her entire life. She married Garnet Gartley on Nov. 25, 1945. Corrine worked as a nursing assistant at the Lamp Nursing Home and provided loving care to private patients in their homes.

Corrine loved people and animals. She was active in supporting the Lisbon United Methodist Church and was a member of the Widow’s Circle. Corrine volunteered at the Lisbon Clothing Bank, was a member of the Scarlet O’Hatters Red Hat Society, belonged to the Lisbon Senior Citizens group and joined a book club, Readers Anonymous, in her 80s. Her laughter, stories and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.

Corrine is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Fallon, of Melton, Mass.; her son, Randal Gartley of Lisbon; grandson, Jeffrey Fallon and his wife, Kelly, of Berlin, Mass.; granddaughter, Jennifer Gartley of Stratton; and great-grandchildren, Tristen Beenie and Lillian Fallon. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Garnet.
