RUMFORD — Rumford Public Library has announced the following upcoming July events and guest speakers:
“Mr. I the Science Guy” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 1. This presentation will feature Bitsy Ionta, a retired teacher with an array of scientific activities and wonders.
“Carroll the Conjurer” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8. Carroll is a magician and family entertainer who has been performing and entertaining children since he was 16-years-old.
“Snakes alive!” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 15. Rob “Snakeman” White will bring pet snakes, talk about their habits and myths and facts about the reptiles. Children can meet the snakes up close and personal if they choose to.
Maine State Game Warden Josh Smith at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22. He will talk about his experiences in the Maine woods and the Game Warden Service.
Kayla Provencher from KP Focus Karate Studio of Rumford at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29. The focus will be on the importance of self-control, self-confidence and self-defense.
