Students Named Clarkson University Presidential Scholars
POTSDAM, N.Y. — The following students have been named Presidential Scholars for the spring 2015 semester at Clarkson University:
Dalton Hunter Lorenz, of Raymond, a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering.
Benjamin Paul Lowit, of Lewiston, a freshman majoring in computer engineering.
Local Students Recognized for Academic Achievement by SNHU Maine Center
BRUNSWICK — Students of Southern New Hampshire University Maine Center have been recognized for academic achievement for terms in Spring 2015, attaining the SNHU President’s List.

To be named to the President’s List, a student must earn a GPA of 3.7 or higher and be full time.
Saint Michael’s College announces graduates

Keene State celebrates 752 graduates

Dean College announces dean’s list for spring 2015
FRANKLIN, Mass. — Dean College in Franklin, Mass., announced students who have been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2015 semester.

Elias Richard Murphy of Poland named to Juniata College’s 2015 spring dean’s list
HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Juniata College has named 401 students to the Dean’s List for the 2015 fall semester. Each student must have at least a 3.6 grade average out of a possible 4.0.
Elias Richard Murphy of Poland, the son of Kevin P. Murphy and Martha E. Stone, and a 2011 graduate of Poland Regional High School, was named to the 2015 spring Dean’s List.
Local students to attend Clarkson University
POTSDAM, N.Y. — Local students will attend Clarkson University as members of the Class of 2019.
Lauren Elizabeth Carter of Pownal, a graduate of Freeport High School, will major in mechanical engineering.
Daniel Scot Hanson of Raymond, a graduate of Windham High School, will major in aeronautical engineering.
Samuel C. Kupiec of North Monmouth, a graduate of Maine School Science and Math, will major in mechanical engineering.
Keenan Joseph Lynch of Lewiston, a graduate of Saint Dominic Regional High School, will major in mechanical engineering.
Alyssa M. Rousseau of Lewiston, a graduate of Lewiston High School, will major in biology.

Local athletes receive spring 2015 NESCAC All-Academic honors
LEWISTON — More than 80 students at Bates College received New England Small College Athletic Conference All-Academic distinction for the spring 2015 season. To receive NESCAC All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.
Topsham native, Colby Gail, daughter of Dr. Aubrey C. Gail and Elizabeth E. Baldwin, of Topsham is a senior member of the Bates women’s track and field team and 2011 graduate of Mount Ararat High School. She majors in rhetoric and American cultural studies.
Lewiston native, Alex Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Parker, of Lewiston, is a senior member of the Bates baseball team and 2011 graduate of Saint Dominic Academy. He majors in politics.
Local students graduate from Saint Anselm College
MANCHESTER, N.H. — Saint Anselm College held its 122nd commencement exercises on May 17.

Daniel Mason of Minot graduates from McDaniel College
WESTMINSTER, Md. — Daniel Mason, of Minot, graduated with a B.A. in art history from McDaniel College.
McDaniel awarded 358 bachelor’s degrees during the 145th commencement on May 23.
Topsham resident graduates from Georgia Tech
ATLANTA — Stephanie Cates, of Topsham, has earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Locals graduate from Salve Regina University
NEWPORT, R.I. – The following local students graduated from Salve Regina University on Sunday, May 17.

Auburn student named to Hamilton College dean’s list
CLINTON, N.Y. — Emily M. Grund, daughter of Susan Pease of Auburn and David Grund, also of Auburn, has been named to the dean’s list at Hamilton College for the 2015 spring semester.
To be named to the dean’s list, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above.
A May graduate, Grund majored in psychology at Hamilton.
Hofstra University announces spring 2015 dean’s list
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Hofstra University congratulates the students named to the spring 2015 dean’s list for their outstanding academic achievement. Students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 during the semester to make the dean’s list.

Local student graduates from Union College
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Tara Metzger, of Lisbon Falls, graduated as a member of the Class of 2015 at Union College during the college’s 221st Commencement exercises on Sunday, June 14.
Metzger graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in geology. Metzger is a 2011 graduate of Lisbon High School.
Student graduates from Lynchburg College
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Leah Kathryn Peterson graduated from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va. on May 19 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Psychology.
While at college she was involved with her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, where she held multiple committee and chair positions as well as that of vice president. She was a key member of the Public Relations Student Society of America Blue Ridge Chapter and served as secretary for two consecutive years. She has accepted a position with Eisenman & Associates, Inc. an association management company in Richmond, Va.
A 2011 graduate of Douglas S. Freeman High School in Henrico, Va., she is the daughter of former Auburn residents Stephen and Sandra (Lane) Peterson of Henrico, Va. Peterson is the granddaughter of Ted and Ruth Lane of Sarasota, Fla. and Beverly and the late Richard Peterson, of Auburn.
Castleton College announces president’s list
CASTLETON, Vt. — Christopher Belanger, of Lewiston, was recently named to the Castleton College president’s list for the spring semester of the 2014-15 academic year.
To qualify for this highest academic honor, the student must maintain full-time status and a semester GPA of 4.0.
Bentley University announces honors lists for spring 2015 semester
WALTHAM, Mass. — Bentley University recently announced the names of local residents who were honored for their outstanding academic achievement in the spring 2015 semester.
