WORCESTER, Mass. — The largest graduating class in Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s history, 1,680 students, received their degrees during commencement exercises. The Institute awarded 956 bachelor’s degrees, 682 master’s degrees, and 42 Ph.Ds during its 147th Commencement exercises.
The following local residents were among those receiving degrees:
Dylan Pinnette, of Topsham, was awarded a B.S. in biomedical engineering.
Elliott Wiegman, of Leeds, was awarded a B.S. in biomedical engineering.
Michael Chin, of Lewiston, was awarded a B.S. in chemical engineering.
Matthew Paladino, of Turner, was awarded an M.S. in civil engineering.
Kristen Brann, of Oakland, was awarded a B.S. in computer science with distinction.
Justin Rice, of Oakland, was awarded a B.S. in electrical and computer engineering with distinction.
Luis Pernia-Rovayo, of Auburn, was awarded a B.S. in industrial engineering with distinction.
