BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Wesley A. Coates, 77, of Boothbay Harbor died peacefully Tuesday, June 9, with his family by his side.
He was born Sept. 30, 1937, to Mary and Arnold Coates of Lewiston.
Wesley enjoyed watching stock-car racing, especially his grandson and Mike Rowe. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox, the Patriots and the Cowboys and loved telling stories.
Wesley worked in construction most of his life and had a lawn business later in life.
He is survived by his family in Turner, son, Jake and wife, Bonnie; grandson, Nik and wife, Ashley; one great-granddaughter, Baylee; his love of his many years, Inez Thompson and children he thought of as his own, Elwood Burbank of Boothbay Harbor, Cheryl Crockett of Nobleboro and Darlene Perry of Florida.
