The streak is over.

After a run of seven different winners to start the Super Late Model season at Oxford Plains Speedway, multi-time track champion and current point leader Tim Brackett of Buckfield became the first to make a repeat visit to victory lane Friday night.

Brackett took advantage of his fourth starting position to dominate the 50-lap main event. He swiped the lead from Scott Moore early in the event and warded off a charge from Scott Robbins down the stretch.

Shawn Martin returned from a recent wreck that knocked his car out of action for several weeks to run third. Scott Farrington scrambled from deep in the field to finish fourth, while Shawn Knight’s bid for back-to-back wins ended in a solid fifth.

Top rookie Spencer Morse held down sixth ahead of Alan Wilson, Kyle Treadwell, Dennis Spencer Jr. and Chuck Colby.

Josh Childs had no problem securing another Street Stock division win, although there was no shortage of heated competition behind him.

Andrew Breton and Bryce Mains sifted through a tangle on the final lap to claim second and third, respectively. Matt Williams and Jordan Russell followed.

Richard Kimball collected his first victory of the season over a full field in the Bandit division, Mike Cleveland led much of the event before Kimball caught him in traffic and made the winning move. Shaun Hinkley protected his point lead by finishing third, leading Jamie Heath and David Cook across the stripe.

Scott Alexander kept Ryan Robbins at bay for a Modified triumph. Evan Armington, Scott McDaniel and Matt Sanborn completed the top five.

Jon Lizotte collected his sixth consecutive Figure Eight win and the 99th checkered flag of his OPS career. He will try to join Mike Rowe and David Smith in the century club next time out.

Allen Higgins won the battle with Mike St. Germain for second.

Husband and wife racers Corey and Missy Morgan once again led their divisions. Corey reeled in Steve Moon for the Outlaw victory with David Whittier, Michael Haynes and Gerry Freve giving chase. Missy held off Shelby Shurtleff and Carleigh Vaughn for the Ladies win.

Dustin Salley outlasted his rivals in a hard-fought Runnin’ Rebel feature. Heath edged Gerard Cote for second, followed by Cody White and Cody Childs.

John Childs (Cruisers) and Gerry McKenna (Sport Truck) also claimed the checkers before the largest crowd of the season.

Childs, Hewins unstoppable at Wiscasset

Jimmy Childs and Kyle Hewins of Leeds continued their stellar seasons at Wiscasset Speedway with feature victories Saturday night.

Childs topped the 25-lap Outlaw Mini event ahead of Cody Tribbet, Brent Roy, Livermore’s Brady Romano and Tim Collins. Hewins held off his brother, Kurt, for the Strictly Street win. Skip Tripp of Turner took third in his initial start of the season, with Bryan Robbins and Chandler Harrison completing the top five in the 25-lap affair.

Andrew McLaughlin aced the 35-lap Late Model test with T.J. Watson closely in his tire tracks. Shane Clark topped Will Collins and Ben Erskine of Farmington in the battle for third.

Mark Lucas swept his heat and 30-lap feature for the Modified class. Steve Reno settled for second with Jairet Harrison and track owner Richard Jordan of Kingfield in his mirrors. Shawn Austin finished fifth.

Matt Bourgoine overcame a challenge from Kevin Girard Jr. to pick up the NELCAR Legends victory. Phil Brackett was third, Bob Weymouth fourth and Alan Smith fifth.

Dore delivers at Beech Ridge

Jacob Dore scored the first NASCAR Pro Series win of his career Friday night in the Firecracker 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough. Dan McKeage and point leader Garrett Hall chased Dore to the checkers.

Cole Watson won the Wildcat feature, but Ryan Hewins of Leeds maintained his point lead and kept alive his impressive streak of podium finishes in second. Lewis Anderson took third.

Brandon Barker prevailed in the Sport Series with Craig Smith and Brandon Ingalls in close contact.

MacDonald no stranger to winning at Loudon

Eddie MacDonald is no stranger to Sunoco Victory Lane at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. On Sunday, he made his seventh career stop there after winning the AIM 60, a Pro All-Stars Series (PASS) National Championship event. It was the first time the super late models have raced at the 1.058-mile oval.

David Garbo Jr., Spencer Davis, D.J. Shaw and Derek Ramstrom rounded out the top-five finishers.

MacDonald led most of the way, but Garbo passed him with about 20 laps to go. A late caution allowed McDonald to speed past garbo, and he held on for the win.
