PARIS — In high scoring affair, Bessey Motors defeated Highland Green 18-8 in a Legion contest Monday evening.

Emery Chickering, Nick Bowie and Nick Attaliades-Ryan each had three hits in the contest. Chickering had two doubles along with Ty Martin. One of Nick Bowie’s two hits was a double. Bailey West had a pair of hits including a triple.

Blake Slicer picked up the victory as Bessey Motors improves to 8-0 on the season.

Reilly Kons had a pair of hits for Highland Green (3-6) along with Kevin Carter.

Rogers Post 11, Smith-Tobey 0

AUBURN — Seven Rogers Post 153 players crossed the plate in the first inning en route to an 11-0 victory over Smith-Tobey in Legion Baseball action Monday night.

Drew Lashua had two RBIs and a double as Rogers improves to 5-3 on the season. Austin Cox and Brandon Varney also had a double as Rogers Post smacked eight hits as a team.

Varney, Jarod Plourde and Grant Hartley each had two runs scored.

Darren Wood had a double for Smith-Tobey (1-8). 

Tri-Town 5, Augusta 0

POLAND — Kaleb Bridgham’s two run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning help propel Tri-Town to a 5-0 victory over Augusta in American Legion baseball action. 

Lucas Johnson had two leadoff doubles with the first one coming in the fourth and the second coming in the sixth. Each time he would come around to score for Tri-Town.

Shawn Murphy was outstanding, as he went all seven inning for Tri-Town (6-3) allowing two hits, walking two and striking out nine Augusta batters.

Reid Shostak had the lone extra base hit for Augusta (5-2) with a double.
