NORWAY — Western Maine Health Vice President of Clinical Services Margaret Burns, RN, PhD, announces that oncology nurses Shelly Thorp and Patti-Ann Douglas recently passed the Oncology Certified Nurse examination administered by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corp.
Thorp, RN, BSN, OCN ,is the manager of the Infusion Center and has been employed at Stephens Memorial Hospital since 2009. Douglas, RN, ONC, is the patient care navigator and has been employed since 2012. Both have spent many hours studying to successfully obtain this certification.
