Local cadet makes dean’s list

LEXINGTON, Va. — Virginia Military Institute the cadets who were recently named to the Dean’s List for the second semester of academic year 2014-15.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a cadet must have a term grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and no grade below C.

Local cadet is Uel D. Gardner, a sophomore from Albany Township, who is majoring in Biology. Cadet Gardner’s parents are Susan M. Gardner and Uel J. Gardner.

Lafayette College announces dean’s list

EASTON, Pa. — The following Lafayette College students were named to the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2015 semester.

Heather MacNeill, of Lewiston, a graduate of Lewiston High School. 

Dustin Morris of Lewiston, a graduate of Lewiston High School. 

Each student achieved at least a 3.60 semester grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Oquossoc students graduates from Colgate University

HAMILTON, N.Y. — Parker Reynolds, a Computer Science/Mathematics major, from Oquossoc, is a member of the Colgate University Class of 2015.

Reynolds is one of 732 students to graduate from Colgate on May 17 during the university’s 194th commencement.

Otisfield resident graduates Maine College of Health Professions

LEWISTON — With the love and support from her family and friends, Jennifer J. Tardiff earned an associate of applied science degree in nursing from the Maine College of Health Professions during their May 2 Commencement exercises.  

Tardiff graduated cum laude and received the Fay E. Ingersoll Memorial Award.  

A resident of Otisfield, Tardiff is the daughter of Bruce and Janet LeBlanc, the wife of Quentin Tardiff, and the mother of Jacob and Lucy Tardiff.  Tardiff is a 1993 graduate of Oxford Hills High School.  

Tardiff has accepted a nursing position at Central Maine Medical Center, where she has been employed for the past 18 years.

Bouchard earns degree in biology

GENEVA, N.Y. — Michael Bouchard, of Lewiston, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology during the 2015 Commencement Ceremonies of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, held on Sunday, May 17.

Bouchard, the child of Michael J. and Tina V. Bouchard, studied abroad in Galway, Ireland, while at HWS.

Benjamin Barnes graduates Tufts University

MEDFORD, Mass. — More than 3,000 students graduated from Tufts University on May 17 during a university-wide commencement ceremony.

Readfield resident Benjamin Barnes graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology Magna Cum Laude.

Local students graduate University of New Haven

Daniel Dearing of Lisbon Falls graduated with a Master of Business Admin in Business Administration.
