Mary and George

Buker

MINOT — Mary (Schoppe) and George Buker, married July 3, 1965, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party with some of their many wonderful friends and family on June 27 up at the family farm in Minot. Among the attendees were the best man, David E. Buker, and the maid of honor, Linda (Stelmock) Bickford. They had beautiful weather, food and laughs.

Mrs. Buker, a former CNA, and Mr. Buker, formerly employed with the city of Auburn garage, both have worked hard for many years on the family farm, raised a family and are now enjoying retirement, continuing farming as well as teaching their four grandchildren many valuable lessons.

Their children, Heidi Stimson, Wendy Gilpatric, Jennifer Sawyer, Chuck Buker, as well as the countless other friends and family, have always been a big part of their love of life.

They have been always involved in the town of Minot for many years and continue to show their support.

They are devoted fans of their children’s and grandchildren’s sports teams.

They love to grow and can their own produce. Mr. Buker produces very good horse hay, a feat in itself. Mrs. Buker loves cooking and playing with their grandchildren.
