TURNER — Josee Castonguay of MSAD 52 Adult Education was recognized at the Maine Adult Education Association annual awards luncheon on June 18 at Bowdoin College. Castonguay was honored with the Outstanding Adult Education Teacher of the Year Award.

As noted on the nomination letter, “Josee has served the students of our school for only five years but her impact has been legion! Like many of our students, Josee navigated the difficult waters of migrating to the U.S., learning to speak English as a second language and embracing and assimilating a new culture. Josee employs her talents and her life experience as an advisor as she gently but firmly helps learners navigate the pathway they have chosen.”
