1926 – 2015
LEWISTON — Frances E. Stephanak, 88, a former resident of Greene, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in North Springfield, Vt., on Dec. 31, 1926, the daughter of William A. and Rena Abbott Keisler. Betty was a graduate of Norwalk High School in Connecticut. She worked as a banker for Merchants Bank and Trust Co. of Norwalk, Conn.
Betty enjoyed crafts, reading, volunteering at the Norwalk Hospital and doing the Boston Globe crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Greene Senior Citizens.
Betty is survived by her son, Michael Stephanak and his significant other, Sally Hebert, of Greene; her brother, William E. Keisler, of Arizona; three grandchildren, William M. Harding, Danielle Kras and Wesley M. Stephanak; a great-grandson, Kyle Kras; and a very dear and good friend, Helen Johnson, of Greene.
She was predeceased by her parents.
The family would like to thank the staff at d’Youville Pavilion for all the wonderful care given to Frances.
