On Friday, July 24, the Denmark Arts Center, 50 West Main St.,  will offer its take on the historic Odd-fellows’ speakeasy. The third incarnation of this event kicks off at 9 p.m., and will feature stories from David Estey’s childhood in Aroostook County, taken from his book “Whoop and Driver.” Following will be live music from farmers Will and Liz of Black Mountain Farm, in Sweden.  Rounding out the evening will be dramatic readings of “awkward emails” from Hio Ridge Dance’s Delaney McDonough and Denmark Arts’ Jamie Hook (Additional awkward email readings are welcome–email submissions to [email protected]. The event will be cabaret style, BYOB, and the Denmark Arts Center will be serving complimentary slices of Brooklyn Blackout Cake, baked in house.
