BRIDGTON — The Village Folk Festival has announced its first-ever “Best Beards” contest Friday, Aug. 21, at the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St.

Bob Casimirio will direct and manage the contest.

There will be three categories: “Best Big Beard,” “Best Sculpted Beard,” and “Best Mustache.” The entry fee is $5, and will be pooled for cash prizes for the winners.

Registration forms can be picked up at local hair dressing establishments such as Loft Salon, weekdays at the Bridgton Community Center or by emailing [email protected] or by contacting Bob Casimiro at [email protected].
