Church to host Vacation Bible School
OXFORD — Pastor Lloyd Waterhouse of Grace Fellowship Church is inviting area children to Vacation Bible School.
The theme will be “EVEREST: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power.” VBS will take place at the Grace Fellowship Church on Poplar Street. It will run Monday through Friday, Aug. 3 to Aug. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
It is open to children ages 8 to 14. Parents may stay with their children during Bible School hours.
There will be a closing program at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the church. Parents and friends can hear the children sing, see a video review of the week, share their experiences and get their certificates. Refreshments will follow the program.

Baptist Church plans VBS
FARMINGTON — New Hope Baptist Church will host Vacation Bible School for children ages 4 to 6 from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 3, to Friday, Aug. 7, at the church, 268 Perham St.
Participants will take a trek through the book of Proverbs at Camp Kilimanjaro while they learn to walk in God’s wisdom. They’ll also enjoy songs, crafts, games, snow cones, and Ricky, the ventriloquist puppet! Vacation Bible School at Camp Kilimanjaro will be
filled with excitement.

St. Luke’s to host fundraiser
WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church’s famous lobster roll bagged lunches will be available during the Wilton Blueberry Festival on Friday, Aug. 7, by pre-order, with free delivery from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the Wilton and Livermore area.
Lunches will also be sold in front of the church located at 59 High St., beginning at 10 a.m. until they sell out.
Lunches include a clear-meat lobster roll, chips, homemade brownie and beverage. The cost is $12.
