JAY — The Jay Village Water District lifted the boil-water order Tuesday afternoon for customers affected by the water line break Saturday on Main Street.
All customers within the Jay Village Water District may now resume normal consumption of water.
Water samples were tested at a lab in Augusta and determined safe for public consumption.
“The water district wishes to express their thanks to all who were inconvenienced by this incident,” Treasurer Ronald Moreau said in a release. “With special thanks to all who dedicated their time and talents to getting the word out and repairing the damage to the system, and finally to those responsible for testing our water for public safety.”
