1947 – 2015
AUBURN — Richard A. Langevin, 68, of Peru died peacefully Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
He was born in Rumford on Feb. 27, 1947, the son of Antonio and Avetta (Peare) Langevin.
He attended local schools, graduating from Stephens High School, Class of 1965, and then took several classes at the University of Maine.
Richard served in the U.S. Army Reserve for several years. He worked at the Rumford Mill, retiring on disability after sustaining disabling injuries from two car accidents.
Survivors include a son, David Langevin of Okeechobee, Fla.; a daughter, Tanya Carrier of Anchorage, Alaska; a stepdaughter, Tammy Hubbard of Leesburg, Va.; two granddaughters, Maiya Langevin and Elizabeth Hubbard; a sister, Clara Allen and husband, Maurice, of Mexico; a sister, Jean Weiss and husband, Robert, of Englewood, Fla.; a brother, Paul of Rumford; and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Annette Arsenault; a brother, Peter; and a nephew, Mark Allen.
