LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will hold a “Business After Hours” event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at the Great Falls Balloon Festival in the tent at Simard-Payne Memorial Park.
This meeting will be catered by Buffalo Wild Wings and will offer a chance to enjoy food, prizes and networking with other professionals. The public is also invited.
The Young Professionals of the Lewiston-Auburn Area will collect school supplies during the evening to help with the United Way of Androscoggin County’s Backpack Project Initiative, which annually provides much-needed school supplies to more than 400 children at local schools.
Needed items include new or gently used backpacks, pens, pencils, highlighters, glue sticks, glue bottles, hand sanitizer, single-subject notebooks, folders, rulers, markers, crayons, pencil sharpeners, color pencils and calculators.
