LEWISTON — A 11-year-old boy who was struck by an SUV while riding his bike Saturday remained in critical condition Sunday night.
The boy, identified as Jordan Norwood, was riding his bike in the middle of the left lane of Tall Pines Drive as an SUV driven by Matthew Moran, 17, of 54 Tall Pines Drive, was driving in the right lane. As Moran was driving by Norwood, “the kid turned his wheels” and struck the SUV, according to police Lt. Michael McGonagle.
Norwood was taken by LifeFlight medical helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland Saturday.
He remained in critical condition Sunday night, according to a nursing supervisor at Maine Medical Center.
