There will be a guided afternoon paddle this Sunday, Aug. 23 from 1-3 p.m.starting at Gate 3 at Hirundo Wildlife Refuge in Alton.
Paddle Pushaw Stream and learn about the importance of this local resource during this event.Canoes and equipment will be provided, or you can bring your own.
For reservations call 207-394-2171 Aug. 22. The suggested donation $5, school-aged children free.
Hirundo Wildlife Refuge is located off Rte. 43 in Alton.
Directions: From the South – Take the I-95 N to ME-43 exit 197 to Old Town/Hudson. Turn left onto Rt. 43 (Hudson Rd). Go west 5.1 miles and take Gate 3 off Rt. 43 (right side, just before the bridge).
