NORWAY — Oxford Hills SCORE will offer a third QuickBooks workshop for small businesses in the community and beyond.

The workshop consists of four evening classes of three hours each: Tuesday, Sept. 15, Thursday, Sept. 17, Tuesday, Sept. 22, and Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Norway Town Office, 19 Danforth St. Attendees should plan to arrive at the first class by 5:30 p.m.

The presenter, Michael Fortin from Augusta, has worked as an accountant for both government and the private sector for more than 20 years, with seven years devoted to teaching QuickBooks as an Intuit QuickBooks certified instructor.

QuickBooks can help with invoicing, tracking sales and expenses, and handling bookkeeping requirements for tax preparation, among other uses. Any business owner wanting to implement a sound accounting tool for their business, any business bookkeeper needing efficient software that tracks income and expenses all in one place and/or anyone seeking to better understand the features and capabilities of QuickBooks will benefit from attending.

The QuickBooks version to be used targets the PC platform, not the Apple laptop. Attendees are required to bring their own PC laptop. A temporary QuickBooks Accountant 2015 license will be installed for the four classes. Those who do not have a laptop to use should notify Oxford Hills SCORE.

The cost is $50 per person for all four classes and free to veterans of the armed services. Register by Friday, Sept. 11.
