SUMTERVILLE, Fla. — Diana Linsey MacLean, 72, passed from this life on Sunday, Aug. 16, at Hospice House in Sumterville, Fla., after a long lung cancer illness.

Diana was born in Niscayuna, N.Y. She spent her early years in England and was educated in England and East Hartford, Ct.

Diana held a number of jobs in her career, mostly having to do with customer service. She loved meeting, greeting and helping people. In her last 10 years, she was an Auxiliary member and worked in the finance department of American Legion Post 347 in Lady Lake and loved her associations with people there.

Diana is survived by her second husband, William MacLean, of Lady Lake, Fla.; and her children, Sheri Verville, Lauri Dupile and William Parquette III, all of Maine. She also has four stepchildren, Steven, David and Scott MacLean and Donna (MacLean) Gordon. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, from both families.

She was predeceased by her mother, Isabella (Brash); her father, Stephen Sullivan; her 4-year-old sister, Duane Sullivan; and her first husband and father of her children, William Parquette II.
