ORRINGTON — Vivian (Nelson) Kaul, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 25, in the arms of her daughter after an extremely long battle with frontotemporal dementia.

Vivian worked as secretary, mostly in the insurance business. She had the fondest memories of her job at L.C.Tyler & Son Insurance in Bangor, as she enjoyed her co-workers/friends who jokingly referred to themselves as “The Snoop Sisters.”
She is survived by her only sister, Shirley Wilkins and husband, Randy, of Northport, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Patricia Kaul Hopkins of Rumford, and Barbara Kaul Buxton and husband, Rick, of Orwell, Vt.; her daughter, Lynne Kaul Cox and husband, Dan, of Orrington; son, Richard J. Kaul and wife, Sue, of Millinocket; Michael C. Kaul and his partner, Lynnie Dearborn, of Manchester, N.H.; grandchildren, DJ Cox, Rick Kaul, Cory Kaul, Ben Kaul and Mikayla Kaul; two great-grandsons; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, A. Leonard Nelson; mother, Leonne (Levesque) Nelson; husband of 55 years, Jerry; and grandson, Ryan Christopher.
The family would like to thank the special ladies who lovingly cared for and provided friendship for Vivian the past five years, Ruth-Ann Winchester, Whitney Seymour, Linda Raven and Marlene Lucht; with a special thank-you to Lynne’s mother-in-law, Janice W. Cox, and to the St. Joseph Hospice team.
