CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Sugarloaf announces the hiring of Brent Larson as the resort’s new director of lifts. Larson will oversee both the lift maintenance and lift operations departments at Sugarloaf.
With nearly 15 years of experience in the ski industry, Larson has held senior positions in mountain operations at Boyne Highlands, Sunday River and Summit at Snoqualmie — three other mountains in the Boyne family of resorts.
Larson’s career began with Boyne in 2001 when he served as night skiing operations manager and snowmaking supervisor at Boyne Highlands in Michigan. He was hired as vice president of mountain operations at Sunday River in 2008, and most recently held the position of director of mountain operations at the Summit at Snoqualmie in Washington.
