HARRISON — Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival completed its 43rd season with a series of classical music concerts at its home, Deertrees Theatre.

Carol Madsen, festival board of trustees president, said, “Our challenge for the coming year is to replace Laurie Kennedy, music director for the last 30 years. Laurie wants to pass the baton to another among our cadre of musicians who have played with us over the past 10, 20 and even 30 years. The search is under way.”

Promoting from within has been a festival tradition from the beginning. In its 43 years, the festival has had three music directors or director teams. The musicians are eager for the festival to continue.

While the search is under way, the festival is in need of volunteers and board members as well as ideas and suggestions for expanding human resources from the community-at-large. Interested individuals may contact Madsen at [email protected],  sebagomusicfestival.org or its Facebook Page.
