LISBON — Brittany Marquis fired a shot into the net from the left side after it bounced off a defender with 2:45 remaining to give Oak Hill a 3-2 victory over Lisbon in MVC girls’ soccer action Friday.
Rylea Swan kicked off scoring for the Raiders at the 28:40 mark on a penatly kick. Marquis made it 2-0 just 11 minutes later as Oak Hill took control.
The Greyhounds (0-1) answered with two goals from Deliah Schreiber in the second frame to force the contest into overtime.
Anna Dodge made eight saves for the Raiders (1-0), while Alexandra Sult deflected 12 shots for Lisbon.
Falmouth 7, Gray-New Gloucester 0
FALMOUTH — Madison Wolf netted a hat trick to lead Falmouth to a 7-0 rout over Gray-New Gloucester in a season-opening WMC girls’ soccer tilt Friday.
Mia Cooney chipped in for the Yachtsmen (1-0) with a pair of goals, while Marcy Kittredge and Grace Connolly also tallied.
Adelaide Cooke and Kathryn Caldwell split time in net for Falmouth, yet neither was called on to make a save. Jen Sutherland turned aside nine shots between the posts for Gray-New Gloucester (0-1).
Madison 8, Mt. Abram 1
SALEM — Kayla Bess netted three goals to lead Madison to a convincing 8-1 victory over Mt. Abram inMVC girls’ soccer action Friday.
Madeline Wood chipped in for the Bulldogs (1-0-0) with a pair of goals, while Jillian Holden, Ashley Emery and Aishah Malloy also tallied. Lindsey Huff scored the lone goal for Mt. Abram in the first frame.
Erin Whalen made five saves for Madison, while Abby Brackley deflected nine shots between the posts for Mt. Abram.
Buckfield 5, Valley 0
BUCKFIELD — Julia Dow netted a pair of goals Friday as Buckfield hustled to a 5-0 shutout victory over Valley in EWC girls’ soccer action.
Kali Litchfield and Mae Kolin each added a goal for the Bucks to complete the scoring.
Edward Little 2, Mt. Ararat 2, tie
TOPSHAM — Red Eddies goalie Francesca Beth-Haines made a few big saves late in the gaame as Edward Little and Mt. Ararat played to a double-overtime 2-2 tie in KVAC girls’ soccer action Friday evening.
Sophomores Piper Norcross and Lauren Berube scored for the Red Eddies (0-0-1), while Erin Tome and tori Pelletier scored for the Eagles (0-0-1).
Leavitt 5, Spruce Mountain 0
TURNER — Nikki Daigle and Amanda Poulin netted two goals each as Leavitt buzzed Spruce Mountain 5-0 in girls’ soccer action Friday evening.
The Hornets got on the board first when Poulin’s corner kick was headed in by Daigle. Poulin later scored on a 25-yard blast from the right side.
Amber Delaney made 12 saves in goal for the Pheonix, while goalie Anie Daigle made four stops for the Hornets in the winning effort.

Edward Little 0, Mt. Ararat 0
AUBURN — Despite a valiant effort from both teams, Edward Little and Mt. Ararat had to settle for a 0-0 stalemate Friday in a hard-fought, early-season boys’ soccer matchup.
Owen Mower made nine saves for the Red Eddies (0-0-1), while Gavin Patterson turned aside seven shots between the posts for Mt. Ararat (0-0-1).
Edward Little outshot its opponent 17-12 yet lacked the accuracy to find the net. The Eddies’ best chance to score came when a Noah Perron header was cleared off the goal line by a Mt. Ararat player.
Mt. Ararat’s best chance to tally came when Mower was forced into making an acrobatic save following a header off a corner late in regulation.
Leavitt 4, Spruce Mountain 0
LIVERMORE — Noah Lind and Evan Clark each netted a pair of goals Friday as Leavitt hustled to a 4-0 win over Spruce Mountain in boys’ soccer action.
Seth Ramser chipped in for the Hornets with an assist, while Lucas Perry recorded four saves.
Jacob Chabot deflected six shots for the Phoenix in a solid effort.
Buckfield 8, Valley 1
BUCKFIELD — Jon Randolph recorded a hat trick Friday to lead Buckfield to a 8-1 romp over Valley in a EWC boys’ soccer tilt.
Bryan Chabe chipped in for the Bucks (1-0) with two goals, while Dylan Harvey, Mike Henderson and Sidney Jackson also tallied to complete the scoring. Cody Lawyerson scored the lone goal for Valley (0-1).
Jake Kraske made 13 saves for Buckfield, while Dillon Beane (22) and Colin Miller (15) split time in net for Valley.
Falmouth 3, Gray-New Gloucester 1
GRAY — Josh Spiegel scored the game-winning goal as Falmouth notched a 3-1 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in boys’ soccer action Friday evening.

Boothbay 3, Telstar 1
BETHEL — Nicole Clarke collected the eventual game-winning goal as Boothbay swooped in for a 3-1 victory over Telstar in MVC field hockey action Friday afternoon.
The Seahawks (1-0) took advantage of breakaways on two ocassions, including Clarke’s goal midway through the first half.
Senior wing Octavia Morin scored the second goal of the game to even the score at 1-1 for the Rebels (1-1).
Goalie Kayla Lewis made four saves for Boothbay, while Blair Stevens fended off 12 shots for Telstar in the losing effort.
Oak Hill 5, Hall-Dale 0
WALES — Kylee Veilleux registered a hat trick Friday to propel Oak Hill to a 5-0 victory over Hall-Dale in MVC field hockey action.
Erica Hannigan scored a pair of goals for the Raiders (1-1) to complete the scoring. Mercedes Pease chipped in with a pair of saves, while Lexi Fuller and Abby Asselin also provided assists.
Abby Fuller needed only two saves to notch the shutout, while Kaylee McGee turned aside 14 shots for the Bulldogs (0-2).
Oxford Hills 6, Lewiston 1
PARIS — Bailey Wood and Erin Morton each netted a pair of goals Friday as Oxford Hills rolled to a 6-1 victory over Lewiston in a KVAC field hockey tilt.
Ciara Hamlin and Katelyn Watkins also tallied for the Vikings (1-1) to complete the scoring.
Kasey Talaraco scored the Blue Devils’ (0-2) lone goal in the second half.
Anna Huff made 11 saves for Oxford Hills, while Kaylin Labonte turned aside nine shots for Lewiston.
