Federal employees organization to meet
LEWISTON — Lewiston Chapter 1804 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Ramada Inn.
A social time will be followed by lunch at noon with a guest speaker and business meeting.
Auburn Public Library annual meeting
AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will hold its 124th annual meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.
The theme of this year’s meeting is “A Blast from the Past, a Launch into the Future,” as the library gets ready to celebrate its 125th anniversary. Reservations are appreciated.

Marriage discussion at Lifetree
LEWISTON — The state of marriage in America will be explored at Lifetree Cafe. The program, “Is Marriage Obsolete? Why More People Are Saying, ‘I Don’t’,” will start at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, and will examine the declining marriage rate and the underlying causes of the trend. The program encourages those who attend to share their views of marriage. Admission to the 60-minute event is free.

Grange to install officers
DANVILLE — Danville Junction Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, for the installation of officers. Members will be installed by State Master Victoria Huff. A supper will be held at 6 p.m. All members and guests are invited to attend.
Pancakes at the AppleFest
MONMOUTH — Fill up on pancakes during the AppleFest from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Packard Activity Center.
The menu will include plain, apple and blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, muffins, coffee, milk and juice. Cost is $6 for an adult, $3 for children younger than 8, and $20 for a family.
Proceeds will benefit East Monmouth Methodist Church and United Church of Monmouth.
