1927 – 2015

AUBURN — Alice E. Warren, 87, died Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Androscoggin Hospice House, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Nov. 9, 1927, in Berlin, N.H., the daughter of Pierre and Yvonne (Rousseau) Desjardins. She attended St. Rose of Lima School in Jay and Jay High School. On April 7, 1947, she married Robert Warren at St. Rose of Lima Church. They made their home and raised their family on Knapp Street, Livermore Falls, later moving to Jay. Bob passed away May 2, 1977, after 30 years of marriage.

Alice worked for Bass Shoe Company in Wilton, retiring in 1983. Following her retirement, she moved to New Port Richey, Fla., residing there for 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, baking, quilting, scrapbooking and crafting. She was an exceptional homemaker who took much pride in keeping a clean home.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Judy and Donald Labbe of Chesterville, Cynthia and Bruce Bonnevie of Livermore, Eddie and Sandy Warren of Wilton, Pamela and Richard Allen of Mexico, and Peter Warren of Jay; grandchildren, Lisa Richards, Jason Labbe, Alison Bennett, Amanda Hreben, Bob Warren, Taylor Roy, Jessica Maas, Abbe Bonnevie, Lucas Allen, Elyse Kreger, Emma Allen, Devon McClaran, Katie Warren and Sam Warren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; a grandson, Jarrett Dalessandro; a sister, Yvette Cloutier; infant brother, Alexci Desjardins; and long-time companion, Harold “Jud” Judkins.
