KINGFIELD — One of the Bicentennial’s most exciting committees is collecting memorabilia for a series of Friday Artwalks in 2016. They will be displaying historic family and community photos at the Herbert Grand Hotel on those Fridays.

Residents who have old Kingfield and family photos in their personal collections should contact Clint Knapp and his granddaughter Olivia Scott, co-chairs of the committee, who are interested in them for the display. Knapp can be reached at 207-265-2191.

Artifacts do not need to be given to the committee. A committee member has a scanner and can come to a resident’s house to record them. Residents can help by identifying the people and place of each photo. The committee is being diligent about origins, too. Each photo will credit the source, to be listed as the resident chooses.

Some of these photos may even find their way into the Bicentennial Calendar, due by Thanksgiving this year, just in time for Christmas gifts!
