1946 – 2015

AUBURN — Sandra L. Mosher, 68, of Lewiston and formerly of Garfield Road, Minot, died early Monday morning, Sept. 21, at the home of her son Mark, surrounded by her husband, children and sister after a short battle with cancer.

She was born Oct. 24, 1946, in Lewiston, the youngest daughter of Charles and Betty (Mills) Damon.

Sandra was educated in Auburn area schools and married Gerald A. Mosher on June 26, 1965. Sandra and Gerald made their home and raised their sons in Minot and just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She has worked many jobs, including in the local shoe industry, G & H Catering, the cafeteria at both Minot Consolidated School and Edward Little High School, Superior Concrete, and was self-employed for many years as a private housekeeper and day care provider. By far her favorite job and one she thoroughly cherished was providing day care for her grandchildren.

Sandra enjoyed camping, gambling, dancing and spending time with her family and friends. She loved to entertain and often hosted gatherings. The life of the party, she enjoyed cooking for a crowd and making people laugh. Above all else, though, she loved her sons and her four precious grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Gerald of Lewiston; her sons, Mark and wife, Heidi, of Auburn and Matthew and wife, Jessica, of Lewiston; grandchildren, Joshua Mosher of Auburn, Mariah Mosher of Newport, R.I., Luke Mosher and Lilah Mosher, both of Lewiston; a sister, Mary Sheila and husband, Frank Eastman, of Darlington, S.C.; a very special niece, Patty Damon of Scarborough; and a very special nephew, Rodney Damon of Westbrook; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Stephen Damon.
