AUBURN — Craig Dickson of Investment Executives Inc., along with Corporate & Community Services at Central Maine Community College, will offer a course on Social Security maximization from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in Room K107 at CMCC, 1270 Turner St.
This initial evening is part of a 12-month series of courses on financial matters through the Maine Money Academy.
Using real-world scenarios, the course is designed to help pre-retirees navigate the complicated multitude of payout options offered through Social Security. Students will learn how Social Security payouts can be taken, analyze their current situation, identify the many options available and generate their own Social Security maximization report.
The class is open to anyone. Participants between the ages of 50 to 65 should bring a current Social Security statement so that an evaluation can be done.
This first class is free, but registration is required.
