FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue Adult Ed has announced its upcoming classes.
PiYo: PiYo is a hybrid athletic workout which combines the mind-body practices of yoga and Pilates, as well as the principles of stretch, strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement. The cost is $45. The class will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 28 to Nov. 9, at the Mallett School Gym.
Getting Paid to Talk: From audiobooks and cartoons to documentaries, commercials and more, this class will introduce students to the growing field of voice over, teaching what the professionals look for, how to prepare and where to find work. In addition, students will have an opportunity to record a short professional script. This class is a first step for anyone interested in the voice over field. The cost is $20. The class will be offered from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1., at the Mt. Blue High School Forum.
Possibilities: In this busy world, there is little time to think about who someone is or dream about who someone could be. This new, five-week class is designed to help. It is for those who know they want more from their careers but need to discover strengths and abilities and design the steps to finally attain goals. The course will discuss job related topics such as work skills, stress vulnerability and learning styles, as well as life and work balance. The tuition for the class is $60. The class will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 6 to Nov. 3, at the Mt. Blue Adult Ed Learning Center on the Mt. Blue High School Campus.
