1921 – 2015

HALLOWELL — Catherine T. Spencer, 94, passed away in her sleep on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Woodlands Senior Living facility.

She was born in Belfast on Feb. 2, 1921, the daughter of A. Myrle Buzzell and James McGuire.

A homemaker most of her life, she and her husband, Paul, enjoyed baby-sitting most of the nieces, nephews and neighborhood kids.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Spencer Sr.; her parents, Myrle and Jimmy; and her brothers, Charles and John McGuire.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Stafford of China; two sons, Paul Spencer of Augusta, and Robert Spencer and his wife, Lorna, of Wilton; grandchildren, Cindy Stafford and her companion, Peter Marcellino, of Sidney, Keith Stafford and his wife, Carrie, of China, Steven Stafford of China, Michael Spencer of Skowhegan, Michelle Hill and her husband, Eric, of Standish and Robbie Spencer of Augusta; her great-grandchildren, Eric, Justin, TJ, Jamie, Ariel, Dakota, Cierrah and Tempest; two special great-granddaughters, Sammantha Stafford and Fannie Hill; a brother, Avon Buzzell and his companion, Joyce, of Jefferson; a sister-in-law, Lucille McGuire of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.
