FARMINGTON — Franklin County Children’s Task Force will hold its annual Kids Walk for Kids Walk-a-thon at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Meetinghouse Park.

All proceeds will stay within Franklin County and Livermore Falls to support and strengthen programming offered through FCCTF.

Services supported by the event include the Maine Families program, which provides ongoing in-home support and education to families of young children; parent/caregiver education classes which offer guidance to parents who are in search of information about child rearing; school-based primary prevention efforts that address topics such as peer mistreatment, cyber safety, empathy and personal body safety, as well as the national Baby Think It Over program.

Participants can wear team shirts, group colors, or a unique outfit.

Coffee, hot chocolate and refreshments will be served. Registration will begin at the park at 8 a.m.
