SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with the Drug Enforcement Administration to host a drug take-back day as part of the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26.

Expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs can be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office at 26 Western Ave. in South Paris, or at the Sheriff’s Office at 1 Parkway in Bethel.

Medicines that sit in cabinets at home are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse and abuse. Flushing the drugs down the toilet or throwing them in the trash pose potential safety and health hazards.

The drop-off is free and anonymous.
