LEWISTON — New Ventures Maine is offering a free, five-week money course in October and November at its center on Westminster Street.

The classes will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 22 and 29, and Nov. 5, 12 and 19, at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College.

This classes will help attendees gain the skills and confidence needed to pay bills, reduce debt, find money for savings and set personal financial goals. At the end of the classes, attendees should have a plan in place to achieve greater financial stability. A follow-up session is scheduled to provide additional networking and support.
